Hey there! My name is Brennan (he/they), friends call me Kenny. I'm a 30-year-old Queer Métis writer and web developer based in Mohkínstsis (Calgary, Alberta) on Treaty 7 territory.

I wear many hats: I'm the founder and lead developer of Berry House, a values-driven studio building fast, accessible JAMstack websites with a dual mission—corporate clients fund pro bono work for marginalized communities. Starting summer 2026, I'll also be the lead instructor of Fireweed Writing School.

I founded Write Club, a creative collective for writers that grew from one person to 100+ members over three years. I've published nine independently-published books and over 200 essays on Medium since 2015, focusing on writing craft, literary criticism, digital culture, and the independent web.

My technical work centers on building content-first, accessible websites using static-site tooling (Eleventy, Astro, Hugo, Jekyll) with a focus on performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and digital autonomy. I believe in owning your data, plain text workflows, and the IndieWeb principles of domain ownership and portability.
