About Vespa Ferox

FEROX is a small gaming and open-source community project. We run shared infrastructure and freely accessible services for our members and friends, with a focus on collaborative play, self-hosting and free tools.

What we do

We host and maintain various services for our community, for example:

• game servers and community spaces
• open-source based tools for communication and collaboration
• storage and infrastructure for community projects
• a blog and posts about gaming, open-source software and self-hosting

All of this is a volunteer-driven, non-commercial project. Our services are meant to be usable and welcoming for interested players and open-source enthusiasts without ads, paywalls or aggressive tracking.

Why we ask for donations

Running this infrastructure comes with ongoing costs, including:

• servers, hardware and hosting
• bandwidth and network infrastructure
• VPNs and secure connectivity
• backups, monitoring and other operational tools

Right now these costs are covered privately by a few people from the community.
