I am Kirill Zholnay, a cyber security engineer from the post-Soviet space in Germany. I have been building bigtech-independent secure infrastructure for small and medium-sized companies for many years. I got bored of repeating the same actions day after day. I used puppet/ansible/terraform/docker, which I was not satisfied with for various reasons. Three years ago I got acquainted with NixOS, gathered a team of privacy-obsessed young and very strong developers from different countries. And in early 2024 we launched SelfPrivacy for everyone. Now anyone with absolutely zero IT experience can deploy their own private cloud without fear of being tracked. Our application will create for you a private mail server on your own domain, a private file server and much more for private communications for a family or a small community.

We have no cookies, logs, metrics, telemetry, tracking, fingerprnitng, nothing that could compromise your privacy.

We follow the principles of: - Open Source - Open Development - Privacy by Design - Zero Trust

Despite of using open source software, the project turned out to be very complicated. But it has already been valued and supported by Privacy Accelerator and NLnet. Support us and you!

We believe that everyone has the right for the privacy and protection from bigtech surveillance. We have no interest to make SelfPrivacy commercial, that is why only one way for us is to be fully funded by the community of users and contributors.
